Safari crashed quite often for me, at least once a week

but I think Steve was right: often related to the Flash plugin. They have improved the sandboxing in the latest Safari update, hasn’t crashed since.

Firefox never crashed for me but I like it less because it’s slower to start and less integrated.

although in days gone by i often resorted to firefox..

In my search for the perfect browser, I'm now using Safari.

Firefox: after several hours would gunk up the whole computer and force a reboot (emptying cache only helped a little).

Opera: crashed a lot. Test lasted maybe a day before I gave up.

IE: hahahahahahahhaha.

Chrome: probably the fastest, but a couple of irritating habits—if a page doesn’t load instantly, it says it can’t find it. Hit enter and it comes up as usual. Also the only one that regularly fails to refresh PdC threads.

Safari: okay so far, but I wish it were as fast as Chrome.

I find Firefox faster than Safari too

but it’s ‘clunky’ in the way it moves from page to page and stores information.

Opera crashed a lot?

That is very surprising. It seems to be one of the most stable and fastest browsers out there. However, it does render some websites kinda funny.

by Seahorse on Mar 20, 2010 8:35 AM EDT up reply actions

It can sometimes swap out fonts

as well as make things look broken. I think it is because developers have to put in all these fixes for other browsers that because of Operas low market share they forget about it.

by profgubler on Mar 20, 2010 8:37 AM EDT up reply actions

The older versions were very very stable

The last couple of versions are pretty horrible. I think that it’s a flash issue, but I found that it would just vanish with no warning.

by Monty. on Mar 20, 2010 8:59 AM EDT up reply actions

It's not so much forgotten about

As it is a case of having to break something to fit some obscure version of IE that’s still more popular than Opera.

Ah well..

I have done 2 interviews for my project.. To get the info you want is difficult.. And altho he is not a good live commentator.. He can interview and make documentaries very well

by Frinking on Mar 20, 2010 10:03 AM EDT up reply actions

He's a very bad live commentator

IMHO he seems good at interviews because he was amazingly lucky to be around when Holland really went nuts about cycling. They could have looked around for someone with some knowledge about cycling at the time but decided to waste tax money on bag full of air Smeets. Because he’s been around so long he’s part of the scene. Young riders like that feeling of course.
The interview after AGR last year was horrible. And his books are all about himself.

Gerrie Kneteman: If a football player falls he shouts for his mother, if a cyclist falls he yells for his bike.

so, for those that understand italian, is the audio from gazetta tv matching up at all to the video?

No commentary for me until I find my stupid ear buds.

They apparently wandered off while I had the speakers hooked up.
