I know, I never had trouble until a couple weeks ago

when all of sudden I could watch T-A coverage but not the skiing from Garmisch. Now I can watch the athletics but not the cycling. Random and frustrating!

That's what I always think about French!

In Italian I find the individual words are easier to pick out, even at speed.

I think Italian and Spanish are closer in sound though? I do get some spoken Italian now, but only after taking a few months of a beginner’s course and getting used to the pattern of where the sounds are different.
