Criterium International Stage 2 & 3..... LIVE
After Saturday's climbing stage the Crit Int is still a pretty open affair with a handful of strong TTers all within range of victory. The day's morning stage (which starts already 9:15 CEST) shouldn't change the GC much so the action should happen in the 7.7 km TT in the afternoon.
Ticker for Stage 2
Live video at 15:15 CEST (09:15 AM US eastern, 00:15 AEDT)

This is as good a bio as any
http://www.cyclingweekly.co.uk/news/latest/345585/russell-downing-rider-profile.html
Very successful domestically on the road, did well in tour of gb and tour of ireland – and that led to his getting a place on Sky. (Eventually sky ceded that they had to have the best of the british domestic riders on board to keep a semblance of credibility of being a british development team)
Good rider – particularly in these shorter races, good bloke and is grabbing the chance with both hands. Pleased for him. His twitter can be a laugh as well.
Agree - He did some sterling work for EBH et al in the middle east
Set up EBH superbly for one win – although at times it looked a little incongrous as RD doesn’t offer EBH much shelter from the wind.
Yeah I knew his story because he had some passport issues when he was on HealthNet-Maxxis in '07
and was stuck racing in England. Followed his ever since

It's been an unbelievable VDS day today
Purito, Tondo, and Roche 1,2,5 in Catalunya, and Le Nez with the overall here, and Evans in 6th.
Like, 550ish points altogether. I’m really chuffed.
