It’s interesting to hear about what it’s like in a race for guys in the middle and back of the pack. Race coverage focuses on the leaders and stars, understandably, but what Joao describes is probably more representative of the race experience for most of the riders in the peloton. I’m guessing most fans relate more to Joao’s story than to the stars’, at least I do.
