I recken today Cofidis could use the same sort of tactics as stage 3

and get Taaramae, Moncoutie, and Maybe Kern from the break to gain time on the late climb and stay away for the win

Red herring/trick... this one I can do..

Joseph Furphy supposedly wrote a very important colonial novel, which I personally loathed. There was great surprise when Furphy wasn’t really Furphy ;)

  1. The gap between Kern, Isaychev, Wilmann, Duran and the bunch is stabilised around two minutes. 5 minutes ago via web
  1. The ISD-Neri team of turquoise jersey Giovanni Visconti is keen to let the four men breakaway go for a long day away without Doi. 10 minutes ago via web
  1. According to Radio-Tour, a mechanical problem is the origin of Doi pulling back to the bunch. It’s also a relief for his former companions.

But I can’t believe this thread has yet to mention Tejay VanGarderen. !!??
Kid is killing it. Riding into contention while in the shadow of the teams’ heavy hitters.
Greipel and all must suck the air out of the team bus, but this kid is still bringing it.
He can easily pick up 16 secs on Visconti in the TT.
Just have to stay in touch.

He may just have a Scottish name, on the other hand.

I like that the barriers are fairly straight this year.

That's what racing is about.

Racing for first. Instead of best of the rest.

Really an interesting finish

the bunch closing, HTC catch the break about a k out, Kern accelerates again out of the corner, Visconti jumps after him, CSF Colnago opens the sprint early, passes Visconti, Greipel leaves his train to come around CSF for the win. Everyone had a go.

Bah

I wanted the break to make it. Or someone else than Greipel to win.
