We saw Mark Cavendish-HTC Columbia at the world premiere showing of "Chasing Legends" the day before stage 1 in Sacramento. Cavendish was hoping to meet you Dan.

It was reading you, crashdan, Drew, Sui Juis, Jens, and Chris that kept me coming back to the Cafe...and of course, huge thanks to crashdan....for allowing me to have some fun with the Fan of Dan club. ...totally my fault.

He was smiling and chatty before and after I took the pic. I simply took a bad pic…ooops.

+1

Cav clearly a little nervous that his Dan fandom has been revealed.

she should've let me take the pic. I told her but she wouldn't be deterred.

Just kidding. She got a good one here though of Cav with my daughter and I.

(Yes, I am trying to steal Dan’s spotlight.)

we had a great time. It was all thanks to steph.

George Hincapie sat about 8 seats down from us in the same row to watch the movie. He came in after the lights went down and left before they came back on.

so glad you could come join me at the HTC Columbia event!!

….and huge thanks again for helping me with my Fan of Dan project!!

I don't particularly like the way he spouts off to the media

But I have always had the impression that in private he is a very nice guy. Seems like that’s what you’re saying as well.

He hasn't been to the ToB since 2006...grr

Actually, I have some British female friends who might put up a stern fight, but I think the Librarian Stare will put them in their place.

well, he must need a pre-worlds routine this year. Can you make it to Spain? Or hey, Australia?

by Chris Fontecchio on May 24, 2010 3:05 PM EDT up reply actions

Spain...hmm, tempting. Australia...also tempting but less practical!

Or perhaps I should write to him extolling the virtues of our Sceptred Isle?
