Alternate Giro Stage Profiles, Decision Tomorrow

The Giro d'Italia organizers have created three alternative profiles for tomorrow's stage, in the event of heavy weather on the Passo di Gavia. Though the roads are currently clear on the Gavia, forecasts call for snow and wind, which may render the climb impassible. The race jury and the UCI representatives will make the call tomorrow at 10.30 CET. Here are the three alternate profiles for the stage.

yeah

and trying to still have a good finish, even if the weather turns. i’m impressed they’ve managed this as well as they are. so far, at least.

I actually like the third alt better than the original stage

although it wouldn’t make much sense that they can do the Gavia bot not the other big climb.

well the other climb, the Liviginio or whatever, had 2 rock slides this week

so that is the only reason they would not do that. Should be fine to do both according to Zomegan, just hoping for not a lot of snow

That would be absolutely cruel

I can’t imagine more than 30 riders finishing that stage especially if the race starts on the motirolo. Absolutely insane
