Giro Stage 21 Preview: Verona - Verona

Giro-main_small_medium

Stage 21 :: Saturday May 23, 2010

15km :: Verona - Verona

Sometimes you have to take action yourself. Most of the times when Chrahdan is bowling with his whole family.  Nice way to spend your time the dude said but we have serious business to talk through. The last stage of the Giro Sir! A 15km TT through Verona. No cobbles in the circuit (I'm guessing here) so no Menchov fall.. But we have a climb +  descent in the TT.. So after the flip we'll see what's left of my beloving preview..

Btw.. Stage 21 is of course not possible.. But I reckon that for lazy motorbikers a rest day is also a stage!

Star-divide

Gavia:

Well she is being Gavia. (And to think she was totally up for this! The shame (:

The whole point of the post... Hey.. It's not good but at least can I share my spend 10 minutes with someone?! (If I only had a clue how to format my text)

What a stage.. It was like I saw a TdF stage.. Loong and happened to few to be entertained. Gibobecco, You really didn't thought it was a Girbecco well?!, almost ended his career on a never forgatable way. Di Paso di Gavia + stage win. Too bad for him he didn't had the legs and Tschopp solood to the victory. Evans was being Evans and attacked waay to late/on the wrong moment. And how desperate I want to tell Mollema was phenomenal... He wasn't.. Wat was the point of sitting in the peloton today?! Much to learn. Take Kruijswijk as your example.

And now what's left.. Some poetry:

Hey handsome have you got the time

I've been watching you since the moment you arrived

A white suit from London, and shoes from Paris

Don't'cha wanna spend about an hour with me

The scent and the aroma refuses to breathe

It's more like a haze that is trying to succeed

It's drawing me in and pulling me to you

And every thought I have turns the language blue

Well Lyrics sucks don't they if they are out of context don't they?

Other comparison. Does the Giro keep up with Bolero de Ravel? I think it does. The false notes at the end of the song represent this stage.
Other comparison..  Does the Giro keep up with a beauticase?

Ok Stripe previous... Skip to last minutes in the Bolero for some firework!  Sometimes an apple is just an apple. And sometimes an apple makes an apple pie. That's what is created this Giro. We saw tremendous stages in Holland, water ballets, Cross countries, waaay to many Australian (:, waaaay to few Yolanthe, failing GC man, reincarnated GC men, failing GC men, sorry Sastre and snow. I think we missed one thing and that was the sun. Not that the viewer cared. A Paris-Nice but than 3 times as long.  What's left? Let's hope a Menchov slip. In a TT of 20km with a mountain in it and a downhill it is possible.. Stage winner will be Monsieur the Second.. Evans

Ari Vedeci..

Chrashdan is still bowling. So I have to put on some really syberspaced screenshots here of the parcours..  I have no idea.. So some shots of Verona in stead

You really should go to there once. Seems a nice city..

As you can see.. It was a battle field. With some casualties and some left behinds. But at least we can not blame the Giro.

Btw. Chapeau for Chrashdan to provide all the action all day.. He was dedicated to his job

I can vouch for Verona. Great place to visit.

Wonderful Youth Hostel, too. I recall missing the curfew and having to scale the huge iron gates with half the guests cheering me on. The staff weren’t the least bit put out with having to unlock the front door.

What he said up there -----^

I totally spaced the preview this morning for innumerable reasons that aren’t nearly sufficiently lascivious enough to keep Drew from kicking my ass.

A Paris-Nice but than 3 times as long

that’s a nice way of putting it.

Go Frinking

If they don’t give you a job as TdF previewer after this masterpiece I’d be astonished, flabbergasted and amazed!
