Stage Predictor Game: The final scores and celebration time
It's all over, I am relieved that my effort has paid off. Of course this effort really wasn't that great so I should not pat myself too hard on my back. Anyway the final scores are posted below. Use the thread to discuss how you guys did or how you felt the game went. I would like feedback, positive or negative, as I would like to make the game as good and fun as possible. I will also put up a poll to see if you guys would compete in a Vuelta SPG and if I get enough votes it is on. Thanks for all your kind comments as well, they truly mean a lot.
THE WINNER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!- JustJoshinYa
2ND PLACE- dees ees en drama
(I'll let JJY and dees ees en drama agree on prizes, andrewp is offering a cool bag of Tour related stuff and the PdC arm-warmers are up for grabs, JJY gets first pick as winner).
3RD PLACE- bought with blood because of stage wins(Ozzie5365 also deserves credit for tying for 3rd)
(Email Willj at cyclingchallenge@gmail.com for a polka-dot cap)

Hey andrewp I just used the email listed on your profile
is that one OK? And for andrewp and Willj I am assuming your offer for the prizes is still on, if anything has changed please tell me.

Not really a problem
(but maybe just ask them to check for address in profile. It’s a bit odd to see the address up there to be honest)
Just a suggestion – isn’t it best to check with Chris there is a first prize. Shame if he left empty handed. Can offer a whole bag of this stuff as an alternative. JJY likes I believe. Similar stuff for 2nd. Then all the prizes would be tour caravan stuff – which seems appropriate.
And I’d prefer it you had the becco to be honest – (in recognition for the work done and the much welcomed (but idiot!) promise to do one for the vuelta)
Done
Chris did say he would give the arm-warmers to the winner back when I proposed the game, the only reason I wrote check to be sure is because I don’t know if he even realizes this game exists :). Hmm I must say the Becco is tempting. OK JJY and dees ees en drama can decide between themselves what they want between the arm-warmers and your bag of stuff. I will email you a bit later with my address for the Becco(sorry guys but I’m obsessed with that thing).

To anyone who is lost by all the above
It made slightly more sense before phil edited the main post – honest. Carry on…
Heh yes it did
but they can read that and ignore all this. THIS CONVERSATION NEVER HAPPENED!!!!

hey guys - I can't decide.
I could use arm warmers, but there’s something about that bag of schwag that looks fun to me…
decision, decisions…Dees – do you need arm warmers or not?

I will try not to gloat about this win too much...
I also finally just got a chance to watch the finish – and holy crap – Mark blew them away! He’s totally crazy!

dees - congrats on your 2nd place and Ozzie/BwB congrats on third.
Phil, the game was very fun…not just because I won. Would have been fun even if I was behind.

I must say I'm surprised by JJY's victory.. oh... alright... congrats.
But next time he won’t have the handicap of me making 3 letter words.

Well you did much better when you didn't think about picks than when you did
so maybe you should stick to 3 letters.

Oh I thought about the picks buddy
I just had to change from first and last names and nick names.
You on the other hand stunk it up with your head and your heart. Maybe next time you could pull them out of your butt, couldn’t stink any worse.
"It's a lovely thing, feeling that momentum. If you're lucky, it's also about grace." Tim Winton
If they were in my head
then it was more my ass speaking huh? Well enjoy your unforgiving 5th place. I will crush you when we get to the Vuelta.

Oh don't mention the Vuelta
I’m going to do the big VDS belly flop there.

Is it bad to say, Fuck you Sminer!
(kidding dude)
Hey, BTW, I picked Jackie Durand and Jaja on a stage…so I goofed off for at least one stage. But, overall, I actually did want to win…I did like your sticking to the 3 letter word play. I will think about a theme for the Vuelta and see what happens there. I did make efforts to add stories to each of my picks – even if they were the somewhat expected people each stage….

No problem, I get that all the time, even if it isn't always said.
I’m actually more surprised by my 5th, and quite pleased too, probably won’t be able to top that.

Game was fun phil
PS Will kick you asses on the Vuelta and get back to top 10 on VDS!

Cool!
Hey! 10 place on the GS is not bad at all! Just ask me and Horner, LOL
And me and Horner had our share of the bad luck. He was forced to work for LA and I didn’t post my selection for stage 2.
Congratulation to JJY! Very impressive! Especially only 5 scoreless stages!
Thanks, Phil! Everything went smooth and everyone had a blast! Looking forward to play again!
Hey! Calendar! Don’t lie to me. It is only July,3
.
many thanks to phil h for providing this entertainment
i beat elvisgoat, yippee! this is all that really matters to me.
"Race radios in Cat 4?"
Thank you phil
Wow I can’t believe that just like the “Silent Assassin” I was able to leap frog onto the podium in the last three stages. I was looking up from fourth for what seemed an eternity.
Note to Ozzie: You certainly deserved the podium! You fought like Thor in the mountains!
Now if I can only figure out some way to do this good on VDS!!!!
