Best Possible VDS Teams Post Tour

Based on the spreadsheet from a previous post here are the best possible VDS Teams at the end of the tour. I give three versions - Best possible, best without Contador and best with Andy Schleck. Quick numbers:

Best with Alberto 16715

Best w/o Alberto has Evans 16564

Best with Schleck 16449

All pretty good! The second two are closer than the differences in the top riders because the less cost let better cheap guys be added in. I can get get results for other combinations easily enough if anyone wants.

Star-divide

The best team has Alberto Contador on it , but no other rider costing more than 14 (in fact all the best share this). From these sheets Vino and Ale-jet were the riders to pick this year! I put VDS cost before the name

These teams are impressive

but they really don’t represent a winning VDS strategy. I think it goes without saying that my strategy of staying within the top 400 through the tour and then making a big push in the Tour of Poland will prove to be the winning one.

Actually picking a GC contender...

for your VDS team is tantamount to cheating in my book.

You’re all dopers!

Bunch of slack-jawed faggots around here. This stuff will make you a god damned sexual Tyrannosaurus, just like me - Jens! Voigt, Predator (1987)

VDs? Who wants those?

This place is creepy…bunch of perverts. I thought this was a cycling forum.

(ok, back on topic for a second…I have to admit that Vino was quite a surprise to me. I knew he’d perform, but it’s been a lot better then anticipated. As for me, I chose Fabian – solid earner, but it cost me a GC guy for my team…)

From the Schleck team I have Schleck, Vino and Anton...

And please.. Can you make I. Hernandez’ name Anton.. I think few pdc’ers recognized him with that name.. Me neither

How did VDS calculate Vino's points?

He was fairly expensive, even though he had been out of competition for a couple of years and was an unknown quantity.
