Tour de France and Vuelta a Espana
Another great day at the Tour de France, with Thor Hushovd winning the 3rd stage over the disruptive cobblestone sections of the route that made this stage one of the hardest of the first week. Switzerland’s Fabian Cancellara retook the yellow jersey from France’s Sylvain Chavanel with an overall time of 14h54’00” as the Tour entered France.
Even though the quest for the yellow jersey will be complete on July 25th, there will still be one more Grand Tour event this year: the Vuelta a Espana! You can watch coverage of the Vuelta at www.universalsports.com from August 28-September 19!

The Universal Bot strikes again
Always with it’s finger on the pulse of cycling fans everywhere. Who isn’t thinking longingly of the Vuelta today?

What about the second?
Who actually quotes overall time in a GC? Is 14h54’00" something to be excited about?
I am perfectly nice.
And anyway, we know the Universal Bot doesn’t read anything here except for the Post! button.
Folks! This is the moment we are all waiting for!
The big throwdown:
Phil and Paul vs Steve Schlanger and Todd Gogulski!!!!!!
Who’s the best??
After watching those godawful VS "recaps" at night
I’ll take the Universal team in a second. With them, at least you can turn the sound down and watch the race. VS’ two hour recap is actually about 20 minutes of race footage sandwiched between interviews, product placements, inane contests, and witless banter.
US broadcasts from Gogo's basement - or is it his Mom's house...
even still, I prefer them…
now sock-less and carefree.
