(All made while folding laundry)
2. I thought Lance was spinning much too high a gear on the cobbles while he and Poppo were chasing back
3. That said, he's got a great tactical sense for racing in general and when he's gotten as much as he can out of his domestiques in particular. He left Poppo when he had nothing left and put in a great effort to catch back on to Contador.
4. Why did it take Phil and Paul such a long time to identify the fact that Lance had suffered a flat, and not a) been dropped from the Contador group because of fatigue or b) suffered some kind of mechanical difficulty? I looked up from folding towels for about two seconds, noticed his front wheel was different from the deep dish back wheel, and said 'flat tire', before moving on to folding socks. Was that really so hard?
5. Poor old Frank S. If he crashes on an uphill next year he'll have hit the Trifecta for serious crashes in all road situations (downhill, flat, uphill).
