Live Chat Wednesday! Julian Kyer, Trek-Livestrong
Come Chat!
Meet Julian Kyer. Julian raced this season for Trek-Livestrong and is one of the teeming horde of talented U23s joining the sport here in the United States. Okay, so we're not exactly on level with Belgium or the Netherlands, but compared to the recent past, the current U23 ranks in the U.S. are definitely growing. And everyone knows more bike racing is better.
Julian came to cycling from mountain biking and alpine skiing. Ask him about the day he dropped his dad climbing on the mountain bike. Over @juliankyer, he describes his life as a full-time cyclist: "I parade around in stretchy pants for a living." His first major result came on the track when he won the national title in the U23 Pursuit. This season, he finished fifth at the U23 road race and sixth at the U23 time trial. His most recent race was the Tour of Utah, where team-mate Taylor Phinney wore the leader's jersey for a day, and Julian also rode the Cascade Classic with team-mate and new National Champion Ben King. Want to study up on more facts and figures? Head over the Trek-Livestrong webby.
Julian will be here at the Cafe on Wednesday 22 September at 1.00pm Cali time/4.00pm East Coast. Stop by and ask him about his stretchy pants. You can also ask him about bike racing. If you are new to the Cafe, you'll need to grab a username to join the chat.
See you there!

Also.
Julian does not actually look like a green bike. We’re digging through the photo stacks as we speak. Which is more time consuming than you might imagine, since I always get sidetracked and have to pour through the entire gallery. Doh.
Trek-Livestrong...Trek-Livestrong...
where the heck have I heard that team name recently? ;-)
Unfortunately, I'm getting used to this kind of situation--Igor Anton, after crashing out of the Vuelta
Welcome!
I haven’t heard from you yet.. But I guess doing a Podiumcafe session will make you a Taylor Phinney in no tme
Maybe it doesn't work all at once?
Like, there’s a time-lapse effect of some kind. I’m going with that theory anyway ;)
This looks like good fun and games...
have to see if I can make the wireless on the jobsite work…
Anyone who has every thought a working Photojournalist has a glam job needs to rethink...

Are we obliged to provide extra loopiness?
Russian Vladimir Karpets is not only known for his mullet but also for his radical facial hair; he is not known for much else.
absolutely
DISCLAIMER: Anything I say is ultimately blinded by my ridiculously unnecessary love for all things Cancellara, or Schleck related....
There, you have been warned.
