Stage Predictor Game: Stage 8
Time for some more GC action. The stoopid sick little climb at the end of the stage may be short but it can lead to some serious time gaps and guarantees pain(ask Rein Taaramae).

What the Vuelta website says:
Saturday 4th September takes place the first real mountain stage of the Vuelta 2010. After many finishes situated strategically in climbs and mountain passes in order to make the favourites to pay attention all the day, now it´s the time for the mountain and the Vuelta wants to honour again Alicante´s province and to one of the heights that has provided more spectacle to the modern history of the race: Xorret del Catí, a finish that has hosted five finishes in the modern history of la Vuelta a España.
The stage starts in Villena and comes back to Xorret del Catí – very closed to Villena – after 190 km with five mountain passes!: Onil (3rd category-km 24), Tudons (2nd category – km 96), Torremanzanas (2nd category – km 123), Carrasqueta (2nd category – km 152) and Xorret del Catí (1st category), with its famous ramps over 20% and the small final descent until a finish line where riders like José María Jiménez (born in Ávila) and Gustavo César Veloso) have been already winners of the stage.
