Why does Lance hate Canadian cycling so much.
All kidding aside, I'm sure the organizers of both the ProTour races, who are hoping for the cycling fanatics of the region to show up in force, and the organizers of the 24hrs of cycling, who are hoping for the same are having a collective palm-face moment about now.

The 24h thing is new, but this is the third year for the Cedars Tour de Lance
which apparently has taken place the same weekend in September for all three years, so Lance isn’t jumping on the Canadian races’ dates, but vice versa. And there are only 50 participants in the TdL, and the 24-hr thing is quite expensive ($750 per team of 6 riders + additional $125 fee per rider + mandatory $250 donation per rider) so I doubt many cycling fans are going to have to choose.
