Stage Predictor Game: Stage 9
Another very bumpy day. Looks like the break has a good shot and if not then look for a punchy rider to shine.

What the Vuelta Website says:
The 9th stage, on Monday 5th September, joints again 2 cities in Alicante. The race travels from the touristic city Calpe , located in the middle of the Costa Blanca, and the not less touristic city Alcoy, a city located in the inner side of Alicante. There the riders get after having surmount more than 6 climbs that count towards the championship, so that it seems that it won´t be again one of the best days for the grate sprinters.
The difficulties begin in the 66th km with the famous Coll de Rates (2nd category) and afterwards the riders make a route that includes Guadalets (2nd category), Confrides (3rd category), Tudons (2nd category), Torremanzanas (2nd category), Benifallim (3rd category) and Revolcat (3rd category), located just 7 kilometers before the finish line in Alcoy. And this after a day´s journey where the "peloton" can´t rest nothing at all.
For the city Calpe the start of one stage of the Vueltais a little recent event, since it is more than 35 years that Calpe wasn´t included in the Vuelta (1973). On the other side, Alcoy was much recently present in the Vuelta: in 2002 it hosted a stage finish where Danilo di Luca was the winner, after a very hard and exciting stage.

Wow! That will probably be the highlight of the Vuelta for me...
I’ll wait for inspiration about this stage, but my heart is still saying Sastre…

This was really impressive pick!
Getting a point, when everyone else got big zeroes! I think it is bigger achievement than even 1-2-3 punch!
Angel! Hm?
I used to be a big fan of the Racer Formerly Known as Bert! But then again, I used to believe in Santa ,Tooth Fairy and innocence of Floyd!

Thanks :)
