Around SBN: Jeremy Lin Sets Assist High In Easy Win Over Sacramento

Anton into red, Moncoutie wins! Martinez still in Polka Dots

And so they have reached the end of the first Mountain stage of the Vuelta with a normal winner David Moncoutie, who put an attack just at the right time to shed everybody. Whereas last year there was the enourmous blow up of Rein Tarrame who finished 9:00 minuets down and Gustavo Veloso's suprise win. Look below the fold for some sundry analysis

Star-divide

First, it was pretty amazing how well Sastre made up the gap, the fact the he's climbing this well indicates a top 7 if not a top 5 preformence to me. Also, Nibs must be in real good form for him to hold of attacks like the one that came from Igor Anton.                                                                                                                                                                                         I was looking at the standings for overall and besides the fact that a carrot is in the leaders jersey I found many suprises. First, Velits and Van Garderen are still in the top 10 on GC, yet I never saw them in the finale and they finished respectively 2:36 and 2:49 back of Moncoutie and 1:05 and 1:20 back of Anton, J-rod, and Nibs, but what's more screwy about this is that Velits is on the same time as Van Garderen.Second, Mosquera was in moved up three places even though he didn't show up at all on the Xorret. Last, Nicolas Roche is in 8th, I saw him once on the Xorret, and when I did he was way back and he finished at 2:00 minuets back of Moncoutie and 31 seconds back of the Anton group, 2 seconds ahead of Mosquera.

If there's anything to add I'll add, anything to subtract I'll do that.

Frinking, you are a Loon.

Not a Walloon, just a top-notch, glorious, magnificent loon.

It means you are to life

what this is, to music!

strangely wonderful, and wonderfully strange. And just a bit silly. Though really, it means crazy, a crazy person (but not in a pathological way).

Maybe Sastre will support Tondo?

That kid can climb well also and is sitting up close to the stage at the moment.

Sort of in the same way Thor is committed to helping Bos.

That would be cool.

A frozen 'cross ride from this last weekend. As you may be aware we have had siberian conditions here in the UK with a low of -14 degrees centigrade here on saturday morning. It was a beautiful sunny morning so i layered up and set off for a snowy 'cross ride along a roman road. I checked the thermometer when i got back to find it had been -10 throughout the ride! I had a lot of fun though and the views were spectacular.
