Good morning, all!

I've nothing against Zabriskie, but to be honest, I think I'm a little bit better looking--Filippo Pozzato

Morning! We're really representing the early riser faction of the Central Time Zoners

Love the new sig. Pippo has always been one of my favorite riders, and every time he writes a blog for CN, i love him even more.

Rare bout of insomnia for me--I woke up at 3:30

and since I had to get up at 5:15 anyway, it didn’t seem worth trying to get back to sleep. But I’m Eastern time, so it’s after 6:00 now—not so bad.

It is perfectly natural for a man to have a moustache

it is also highly practical to cut it once in a while so that it doesn’t get in the way of nutritional supplements like beer and the like.

I guess you could argue that a moustache isn’t natural looking. In that case the same must be said about anyone who’s ever had a haircut.

by Holdenmate on Sep 8, 2010 7:41 AM EDT up reply actions

oh no

One of the delights of the moustache is the ability to drink beer a second time, ad it drains from your upper lip back into your mouth.

Sastre, Arroyo, Lulu and Menchov

All should be in the top 15. Not necessarily today, but they should get there. Not sure about Lulu.

Yeah, that's what complementary means

at least sometimes—it comes from “complete” and also has that connotation a lot of the time (complementary things complete or perfect each other, fill in for each other’s deficiencies).

“Complimentary” works a lot better in Holdenmate’s sentence: think of joining a club and getting the complimentary membership packet.

Cherel is 46:12 behind the leader and Tschopp is 53:28. They are saving it for the last climb.

A Belgian regional newspaper has Kristof Vandewalle at QST (from TSV)

If true, that’s a very good signing. VDW was fourth in the Tre Valli Varesine (outsprinting Cunego), third in the 2nd stage of Burgos (mountain stage won by Samu) and best of all, he won GP Kanton Aargau – Gippingen where he was in a break of six with Haussler, Roche, Sella, Marcato and Bailetti. That’s a good crowd do beat.
