Tour de San Luis Stage 6
The 193.1 km stage on Saturday will be very terrible: a 34 km climb to 2084m early, then another cat 1 summit, Cerro El Amago, at 1720m, with pitches up to 11.5%. The final 18 km to the finish are mostly flat on the mile-high plateau. Stage 4 time trial winner Xavier Tondo of Movistar maintaned the overall lead with a 7th place finish on Friday's stage 5 moutaintop finish. Ivan Basso has been tranquilo throughout, training through and sitting at 32nd on GC. Liquigas teammate Eros Capecchi sits 4th @ 1:28.
cyclingfans.com has links to live video. Streaming has been reliable every day for the last hour of the stage. Schedule below (GMT -3).

Great work Sylvan!!!
tomorrow will be a cracker, I know most of the South Americans are at a peak for this. What time must I check for live video?
I'm sure the riders I've ridden with before think that I have cheated. But fuck them - Richie Porte insisting that he won clean.
dude you have the best avatar ever
I might have to change mine to Ricky
I'm feverished, or the way you want to spell it
How'd the stage go?
I was out getting drunk and stoned with my friends.

Oh, freak
it’s still on. We’re rooting for Christian Meier, co-captain of the Trailer Park Boys VDS team, now with UHC after being uncerimoniously dumped last year by he of the evil sideburns. He’s been having an inter-team rivalry on twitter with teammate Charlie Wegelius. I’m imagining them taking turns at the public computer in the hotel, sending out smack talk twit-twats at each other. Wegelius beat him by 1 second in the TT, but Meier put some serious time into him on the climb yesterday. Meier also got into the break of the day on both stage 2 and stage 3, and attacked the break solo for 10 km on stage 3 before finally being the last guy to get gobbled up by the sprint trains.

Dude
got into the break again today.

Frig off Ricky. No you frig off. And Meier got into the break
AGAIN today, Sunday, stage 7, four times in the break in seven stages and one of the stages was a TT, so 4/6. That’s is awesome.

this time I've got the media player up ahead of time.
Soap opera, right now. Time to do some housework, then enjoy this with a good conscience.
"dumped for Greipel?!"
figure about 1.5 hours until the final hour of coverage

"35.2" presumably km
and I think I’m seeing heat shimmer, unless that’s warpage from the plastic of the helicopter window. Nice.
"dumped for Greipel?!"
no, i think that's the temperature, under the time
"Wizard's first rule. People are stupid. They will believe anything they want to be true or fear to be true." -- Terry Goodkind
Think you're right. What a scorcher--hard to believe.
OK, now we’re back to the stupid soap opera with the dogs.
"dumped for Greipel?!"
malamutes/huskies. as long as they don't harm the puppies.
"Wizard's first rule. People are stupid. They will believe anything they want to be true or fear to be true." -- Terry Goodkind
Fine, fine.
I’m not anti dog, just anti-soap-opera-during-race, regardless of theme.
"dumped for Greipel?!"
well, according to cfans, it cuts back and forth btwn show and racing

looks like the end of stage 5 recap?
"Wizard's first rule. People are stupid. They will believe anything they want to be true or fear to be true." -- Terry Goodkind
That too...I think they must be cutting back and forth,
because they’re showing both flatland and hills and mountains? And sprint points and final from yesterday.
"dumped for Greipel?!"
Or else that was all we get?
Bummed. I’ve had the soap opera on with the sound off, and checking back from time to time, for the last hour.
"dumped for Greipel?!"
cfans says they've been consistently showing the completely last 45-60 min of the stage.
stage scheduled to end btwn 17.59 and 18.33 local time, so i figured that the live coverage should start in about 7 to 22 mins
"Wizard's first rule. People are stupid. They will believe anything they want to be true or fear to be true." -- Terry Goodkind
nvmind, that was the predicted end time for yesterday's stage.
Next question is whether these, being yesterday’s links, are the same for today.
"dumped for Greipel?!"
the stage finish times are on the official site. if you right click on the graphic above, it opens into another page

OK, I'm going to go get pet food, then, and be back in a few.
The dogs inspired me. Woof.
"dumped for Greipel?!"

if this is a public service announcement, it's a long one
for e-learning, and how it doesn’t mean a takeover by the computers. And now, a trailer for the news show on criminals.
"dumped for Greipel?!"
police cars clearing the road
and a brief burst from the copter. Still no cyclists.
"dumped for Greipel?!"
saw a mound of them a little bit ago
"Wizard's first rule. People are stupid. They will believe anything they want to be true or fear to be true." -- Terry Goodkind
Peloton!
Looks all together, except a few trailing out the back.
Now back to the fixed cam.
"dumped for Greipel?!"
a bit of a lull btwn the two climbs
"Wizard's first rule. People are stupid. They will believe anything they want to be true or fear to be true." -- Terry Goodkind
hmmm, police cars passing the static camera
"Wizard's first rule. People are stupid. They will believe anything they want to be true or fear to be true." -- Terry Goodkind
oooh, peloton
"Wizard's first rule. People are stupid. They will believe anything they want to be true or fear to be true." -- Terry Goodkind
well, it was there
"Wizard's first rule. People are stupid. They will believe anything they want to be true or fear to be true." -- Terry Goodkind
starting to wonder if they're having camera or broadcast problems
in the copter / from the race, and therefore more “waiting” shots than intended.
"dumped for Greipel?!"
ah, a lone break away rider?

another bunch
Feels like being there, but not in a good way, just in a confused and waiting for people with a cell phone and a buddy up the road to tell everyone what’s going on.
"dumped for Greipel?!"
true dat
"Wizard's first rule. People are stupid. They will believe anything they want to be true or fear to be true." -- Terry Goodkind
Lucky you!
Haha. Coverage was pretty spotty and grim. The odd helicopter shot of the pack on the climb, then all of a sudden a solo breakaway boy takes the win.
