Vote for the Rabobank women's team jersey for 2012!
Hopefully by now you know that Rabobank will be taking over the sponsorship of Nederland Bloeit, the hugely successful team of all-round superstar Marianne Vos and winner of the Ronde van Vlaanderen and the 2011 Road World Cup, Annemiek van Vleuten. It's great news on a load of fronts - and it looks like they're already wanting to engage fans in new ways, this time by letting us vote for the jersey design for 2012!
Here are the choices: (below the fold thingy!)
Vote for your choice on the Rabosport facebook page - so far, orange & white is winning! Remember this will also need to be combined with Marianne Vos's Dutch National Champion colours, and probably every jersey for every race!
(And yes, I AM mourning the teenytiny cows and vegetables that adorned the Nederland Bloeit kit.... I still think there's space on this one for little tractors, broccoli and cows...)

Because the other one has a white collar?
And those are notoriously hard to clean.
"Beer helps." -- Ant1.
Powder, machine, button, sorted
Well I doubt that the pros clean their own kit any more, but which century are you living in? I n what part of the Netherlands do you sit on the river bank bashing a wet chamois against rocks to clean it?
I'll say it again, because it's never enough
More orange please!
I was wondering
if, on the road, the “white” version might even show more orange, due to the side panels.
"Beer helps." -- Ant1.
Possibly.
But in the unlikely event of our getting more video, the back tends to be quite important. But still, needs more orange all round. I kind of feel both of these are sort of “girly” Rabo kit lite.

Don't give them ideas
or the next version will add a bit of pink too. (Actually I still miss the pink of Leontien – maybe the change of colour was where it started to go wrong for them this year)
Leontien was so girly
it was kind of cool. I was never exactly tempted to buy a jersey or anything, mind.

a Cipo derivative.
Much better than the two proposed bland corp Rabo designs.
Or Saeco/Cannondale

The horizontal stripes around the crotch
point inwards in a very odd way

I started the season being annoyed by it, ended up loving it
Would have bought one for the laughs, except they only sold tiny sizes
(Mind you, I bet Kirsten Wild is glad they changed – that blue & green suits her red curls much more than the Barbie pink would have done!)

I was tempted
Alas, no male version

Apparently, I am reliably informed, the white version
has an unfortunate bra-like effect when worn by a lady….
Aka Pigeons!
But modern sports bras are so solid
that riders are happy enough to do cup final style shirt swapping at the finish line.
yep!
It most definitely would. Alright people! We have our mission! Vote up version 2!
Or, someone come up with something with more orange ;)
~ Gavia ~
Is it evil of me
that I think it would actually be quite funny to see that?

Have you seen the shirt for the Motorpoint Team in the UK
On the men, it looks fairly sane.
On the women….. oh deary, deary me….

So you're voting for a couple of pumpkins on the rabo kit?
[ducking]
"It is unfortunate that the Wall is not plugged in correctly."
Ha!
Well, the Nederland Bloeit kit does have lots of fruit & veg on it already…

So what we want is more orange
and lots of little cows’n’veg’n’tractors…. or is that just me? Any other requests?
Aka Pigeons!
No no no no!
We need Rabo to adopt Nederland Bloeit-style tactics!

Hear, hear!
"These are my principles and if you don't like them....well I have others." Groucho Marx
I want cows 'n veg 'n tractors.
Think there’s room for a few cows on both designs. And orange tractors maybe?
"These are my principles and if you don't like them....well I have others." Groucho Marx
Combine the two and you have more Orange
that’d be my vote
"It's a lovely thing, feeling that momentum. If you're lucky, it's also about grace." Tim Winton
So we're picturing something like this
Only with the (hard-to-cut-out) tractors and cows….

Aka Pigeons!
It is a true fact that one of the most useful things I've learnt from my course is how to aasemble atrocities like these

No good...
…doesn’t leave enough room for the rainbow stripes after the Worlds next year. :-)

OK, I'm convinced!
Anything to keep the little cows and things. Do you think the UCI will go for it?
