They should have had it here, then, the weather is excellent.

Although maybe ‘Indianapolis-Cincinnati’ doesn’t have quite the same cachet.

Over 3 inches (5ish cm) of rain

Here in West Texas. First decent rain in months. Nowhere near enough to end drought though. And maybe a little warm for cross (high 50s F)

I don't think I've ever heard it before, which given the fact that Australia also has

problems with racism, as I’m sure you know, is surprising. I think ‘Indian giver’ slipped through because with no Native Americans, it’s always been without any strong associations. Needless to say I won’t be saying it again.

Sorry! 'Indian Giver' used to be used to describe someone who gave a gift (land),

then took it back. As I said, I’m embarrassed at not having thought about using it. My age is showing. And racist language in Australia and the States differs. unfortunately, the intent doesn’t.

Greetings, Podium Cafe! How lovely to be here, for the (almost) end of a

magnificent cycling season. I actually woke up to watch the last 8 laps of Beijing this morning, here are the results of Stage 5:

1 Denis Galimzyanov (Rus) Katusha 2:19:44
2 Juan Jose Haedo (Arg) Saxo Bank-Sungard
3 Elia Viviani (Ita) Liquigas-Cannondale
4 Matteo Trentin (Ita) Quickstep
5 Davide Appollonio (Ita) Team Sky
6 Francesco Chicchi (Ita) Quickstep
7 Heinrich Haussler (Aus) Team Garmin – Cervélo
8 Giacomo Nizzolo (Ita) Leopard – Trek
9 Alexander Kristoff (Nor) BMC Racing Team
10 Sébastien Hinault (Fra) Ag2R-La Mondiale

It was horribly smoggy, really really bad. Worse than the Olympics, really sad. Galimz took the green jersey with his win. No other GC changes, of course.
