Probably the best drug testing story ever... awesome details.

So, I'm reading my college alumni online magazine (I went to a school called Wesleyan in Connecticut), and there's a link to an '04 graduate who is a pro bike racer. Her name is Beth Newell, and she's a champion track racer. So I follow the jump to her blog, and there on the front page is the best drug test story I've ever read. Check it out: bethbikes.blogspot.com

ha, yes that was a good story.

Her first reaction to getting drug tested:

“can i get a picture.” i mean, this was cool shit – getting drug tested!

and then a great photo. From then on I knew I’d enjoy that story.

UCI-licensed athletes...

…are required to take an online exam which walks them through the testing procedure, answering virtually all the questions Beth posed in her blog. Curiously, USA Cycling does not require this aspect for licensing. It really should.

Interesting.

A function of cost to USAC or acknowledged lack of practical applicability, you think?
