Press Release: Team Lady Marmottes

Feb 21st Geneva - We are proud to announce our inaugural Team Lady Marmottes WVDS Team.

Team Lady Marmottes expects a Wild and Slamova season. Of Corset does.

Even if some of our riders are Olds, we have a strong Brand. Hopefully, none of the ladies will be Fahlin off a Cliff-Ryan. And we don't expect to be waiting for Godart.

We predict another Immaculada Tour de France victory from Pereiro , and some Dutch masterpieces from Van Gogh.

Team Chef: Cooke       Team Minister: Abbot          Team Captain Mooooolman

If you don't like our team, go Fouquet and talk to the Hahn.

And we don’t expect to be waiting for Godart

For me, this is the line that lifted it into the realm of genius.

Briljiant post, sir!

And I am afraid, Will—very afraid, nay, terrified—of your superior punmanship. Your team, on the other hand…

(Incidentally, we do have one overlapping rider. All will be revealed soon.)

5 rec's in less than 37 minutes. An excellent post.

Got to be a rec ord. Good luck! And watch out for the Blue Crab Bikers.

i rec'd it too

it’s the team kit that did it for me.

"Ants don’t worry, they operate like a fantastic team, they accept obstacles and deal with them in a positive manner, they don’t complain and remain positive. An ant doesn’t work on emotion, is proactive and always chooses the ant role."

yep. that team kit is a kicker.

Er...not to be picky or anything, Willj, but are the Lady Marmottes strictly legal?
You are not allowed to spend more than 100 points on riders costing 25 points or more.

Kirsten Wild=40
Mara Abbott=35
Nicole Cooke=30
total: 105

Oh, sure. Pick the best from the rival team.

I mean, of course I believe you. Fully. 100%.

And to make up for my snark, I am sending your team a lovely tenderloin of beef.

cause being an artist, I couldn’t pass that up.

Btw, t-shirt art is dialed. Yay! :)

This is seriously distubing news.

Ris, Kim Andersen and Aldag all cheated and now this.

I have submitted more VDS teams than anyone in the history of VDS. And never failed a submission. I blame this on a Microsoft file format while I use a Mac.

by Willj on Feb 22, 2011 10:55 AM EST up reply actions

Surprisingly not

Jens is tidying up some details right now and I don’t want to upstage him with the few titbits he’s shared with me, but the most popular rider was on 51% of teams and people found lots of different ways to spend their points. Of course we don’t know how much of that is down to the random “never heard of any of them” teams, but we’re going to be positive and pretend that that is a tiny minority.
