Sure

You can’t relive races. But if you can’t relive races, people should stop putting an asterisk next to Porte’s Giro performance.

My point is that Porte’s real GC time + 12’45 is still a damn good time for neo-pro riding an incredibly hard Giro.

Rasmussen – can’t climb
Birdsong – injured in crash
Koren – why waste energy when you’ll be working tomorrow
Kreuziger – yeah, strange one
Spilak – I don’t think he’s all that, not convinced he has the stamina yet

I’m more surprised that VDB hasn’t done more to improve his TT situation, and that Mick Rogers didn’t do better. I expected about what we got from Peraud and Taaramae, but had high expectations of them to begin with. Great effort from Westra. Busche is a domestique on Radioshack

He was a neo-pro last year. I only know him because he went from amateur ranks to Radioshack in a few months. He was a cross-country runner but picked up cycling.

He got 3rd in the Tour of Denmark last year. He didn’t make the cut for my VDS team, but I thought he’d have a pretty decent season.

Could be the same situation at Koren – why waste the energy when you have a teammate ranked above you.

Spilak crashed

Yesterday, I think. Don’t know how bad it was.

Paying his dues

If you’re interested, I can translate a short interview he gave to a newspaper here. Says he’s just working for the team, and that World Tour races are pretty hard on someone who, technically, is still a third year U23.

I didn't hire Kreuziger to score points in T-A.

I’m hoping for the Ardennes and counting on the GTs.
