Leopard is not that orange
Rabobank was not that happy with Leopard-Schleck today. 15km for the finish Mollema flatted and that was the sign of the Leopard's to hit the gas. My first reaction was. Ooh young (24) Mollema was to far down when the climb began. Think this is also what Leoschleck thought. Only Ten Dam put himself behind the Canelard train and shouted in their faces.. Something what can not be repeated here and now They went on. Now the war is on and Mollema said: "I will not forget this action" Suggestion Rabobank is not going to forget this action in the Tour.
Was the action legal? Dutch fora suggest the Caneleck family are hypocrit. Weren't they the initiator of the neutralizing of the Spa stage?
Was it smart to make enemies for a third place in GC in the Tour de Suisse? What is the point? (A. Schleck already 'stole' yeah earned! the mountainsjersey of Ten Dam)
Did they really not know?
Questions, questions..

I go back and forth on this...
One side – “That’s racing…”
Other side – Saxo neutralized races when “the GC” guys went down (albeit, that was weather related and “for safety”)…
Today there wasn’t a weather issue, and I guess it could be argued that LT didn’t know it was a flat (although I am guessing TenDam’s statement is that he told them it was just that). I think it’s kinda an asshole move, but shit happens. How many unwritten rules can we have? Hopefully this gets RB so jazzed they come to the Tour like they’ve arrived in other races this year, with guns blazing and give us something more then Andy vs Contador, cause I’d love to see it…
Yeah. It's hard.. Altho I think it's just part of racing.
Too bad it happened at Mollema but I also think they should have raced in the Spa stage.
If this gives them motivation to be more aggressive at the TT tomorrow and at the Tour is even done a good job! So we could see some fire work an echelons! of Rabo. The Schlecks on the other hand have to work on their “making friends” skills. It is important. Ask Contador
Plus, Frank's not going to end up 3rd:
General classification after Stage 8
1 Damiano Cunego (Ita) Lampre – ISD 31:01:49
2 Steven Kruijswijk (Ned) Rabobank + 1:36
3 Frank Schleck (Lux) Leopard Trek + 1:41
4 Levi Leipheimer (USA) RadioShack + 1:59
5 Bauke Mollema (Ned) Rabobank + 2:11
6 Jakob Fuglsang (Den) Leopard Trek + 2:38
He’s going to end up 5th (and Fugly could even come over him…).

I vote for racing, but I didn't see or hear anything about Mollema flatting.
If that article you posted tells of Mollema flatting, then I think LeopardTrek’s actions were wrong. Also, it just seemed stupid, not because it makes enemies so much, but because Levi is sure to take that podium spot away from Frank.
But I like your way of thinking that all this animosity might make for a more aggressive Tour.

Aaaah...how soon the Schleckmiester machine forgets....'Chaingate'......The orange look good,
and I hope Gesink is up to the task in LeTour, because Rabo has shown some kinda power in the hills these last two races…..Go ‘Rabo’!!!! kick some ‘Leo-Arse’
Soli Deo Gloria
Interestingly, my two main guys for the Tour
are on these two now rival teams… F. Schleck and Gesink. This should challenge my DS abilities.

I have Sastre
And dos Sanchez’s (cue laugh track)

no laughing here...I have Roche...
I am hopeful JVDB didn’t just peak at the Dauphine…and I also have Gadret who, depending on how he recovered from the Giro could factor.

My reaction is tough shit, it's racing
quite frankly I’m sick of the all the unwritten codes in cycling. I guess the only thing I don’t mind as much, but don’t really care for, is stage gifting because those guys gifting stages are racing for the bigger prize(the GC) and for that they are not going to gift anything. But the whole chain issue, wait for Andy, wait for someone who had a flat in the final 20km thing I don’t care for. You don’t see any sympathy in other racing sports like motorsports for those things, they go along with racing. But yes Leopard is hypocritical after all their bitching at last year’s Tour(practically same team).
+ 1, on every part
The unwritten rules drive me crazy!

I agree with all the "that's racing" comments
but the fact remains that pro cycling is part politics. The leppards just made themselves some enemies (who could have been useful allies in the Tour) for no reason whatsoever. Clever it was not.
But maybe they made some friends that day too
Radio Shack?

Politics is the point.
And it’s a rather unique part of cycling, which is why I’m not so inclined to get upset about this stuff. This, too, is part of the game.
Oh la-di-da
“+1” not good enough, eh? Well I for one (1) agree (1) as well (1) but (-1) I don’t (-1) think (1) it will matter.
Call me old-fashioned, Ted
(if you like), but I do prefer sentences. I don’t wear acronyms and abbreviations well. Or numbers, really. But, of course, there’s this old ditty:
One-one was a racehorse,
One-two was one too.
One-one won one race,
One-two won one too.
Don't mess with the Dutch hegemony!
Hope this will boomerang back on them one way or another.
Guess who'll ride the Dutch RR NC for Rabobank employees June 26th? Just before the pro's hit the course for the real thing!
Belgium has messed with the Dutch hegemony for almost 200 years
And there’s nothing much stopping them.

It's the other way around actually
But with many orange climbers in the first group the next couple of years it’s wise to pick your enemies wisely…

Heh, that reminds me of the story gs told me about Lars Boom, before a CX Worlds ( '08?)
Where before the race he was saying “All the Belgians in the world can’t stop me from becoming World Champion” etc… causing the Belgians to, for once, work as a team with the sole aim of crushing him! Makes me grin!

btw, frinking, you might want to change your fanshot title from "SAXO is not that orange" to "LEOPARD-TREK is not that orange"
(i know, i’m a bit late about the correction)

Eeh right..
LEOPARD-TREK it was.. I don’t know what I found more shocking.. That they asked to highlight their name or that they actually do it
