My birthday is approaching and my girlfriend asks of any cycling books she can buy for me.
I have been cycling recreationally (and commuting by bike) my entire life. I started following competitive cycling in 2008 (Tour de France as gateway drug to Spring Classics).
I haven't done much reading outside of the internet but would like to start. What are your favorite books about TdF, Classics, Pro Peloton, etc.?
I am open to reading about pretty much any historical era of the 20th century. I am open to reading an entire book about one single edition of a Grand Tour, or about the entire 100-year history of a one-day race.
Just give me your suggestion for the most well-written can't-miss books. Thank you.
