Some riders never seem to have any luck. Robert Gesink is one such example. Not only did he hurt himself at the Tour, today he crashed in training and fractured his femur, so no Worlds or Lombardi for him. I wonder which rider will be called upon to take his spot next weekend. Could this in fact make the team more homogenous in terms of a skill set? i know there have been a number of people scratching their heads of what TYPE of team is being fielded.

Anyway, I can't wait for the Giro now. Gesink will be champing at the bit.
