Tour Down Under on NBCSports!
On NOW (1500 EST), and will be on daily this week at 1700 EST. Looks like only 30 minute recaps, but for this sunlight-deprived fan it will be heaven! Time to hook that VCR back up!

Isn't there a 6 hour difference?
Between Belgium and eastern USA? So 5pm EST = 11pm for you?
Sorry about the 24 hour clock, so used to using it at work.

Ja
And I’m sure Broerie doesn’t mind the 24h clock, that’s all we get here (mainland Europe).

The 5:00pm show will be showing the previous days stage.
Thanks for the heads up!
So brief but so fine!
You are welcome. I was very excited to see it!

Weird schedule they have laid out for the year.
Showing a bunch of races late at night—for instance de Ronde at 11:30 pm, FW and LBL at 12:30 am. Not easy to stay up for, if for some reason I miss live coverage.

Yeah, I think they either want you to buy a DVR
or move to Guam, if you are a cycling fan.
Jens Voigt doesn’t know where you live, but he knows exactly where you will die.
Sounds like the women's pre-TDU race was total chaos
but comedy! Check it out via CN (whose Jane Aubrey always does fun stories!)
Aka Pigeons!
Will there be streams/live threads here?
If so, when? The whole date line thoroughly screws me up with trying to figure when stuff’s happening.
below is the link for the scheduled coverage of the tdu by the australian broadcaster
http://www.cyclingfans.com/node/3689
there wasn’t suppose to have been live coverage of the tdu classic (crit), but it appears there actually was. however, no live viddy is expected until the final tdu weekend, per usual.
cyclingnews will have a live ticker for each stage. odds are that a live-ish thread will show up for those starved for it.
here’s the official website parcours and itinerary link:

stages 1-4 start at 11am Adelaide (So Australia), CDT, with an expected finish time between 2:30pm and 3pm daily — this would equate to a race run of 0:30am – 4:30am UTC. for the good ol’ USA, east coast is 7:30pm – 11:30pm on the previous day, i.e., monday night for the tuesday stage 1. these stages are to have only delayed highlights.
stage 5 start time is 11:10am Adelaide (So Australia), CDT, with an expected finish time of 3:00pm — this would equate to a race run of 0:40am – 4:30am UTC. for the good ol’ USA, east coast is 7:40pm – 11:30pm friday night for the saturday stage. there will be LIVE VIDDY for the complete stage.
stage 6 start time is 1:10pm Adelaide (So Australia), CDT, with an expected finish time of 3:15pm — this would equate to a race run of 2:40am – 4:45am UTC. for the good ol’ USA, east coast is 9:40pm – 11:45pm saturday night for the sunday stage. there will be LIVE VIDDY for the complete stage.
i’m sure somewhere a stream feed will be available. georestriction might be a problem tho.

The Ch9 schedule says 60 min of highlights at 7pm AEST streaming
http://wwos.ninemsn.com.au/article.aspx?id=8402812
May be georestricted. Though channel 9 (rights moved away from the awesome SBS this year) only managed to spare about 24 pixels for the crit stream, so I wouldn’t be holding my breath on broadcast quality. I presume if someone was able to get the crit stream working outside AU, then these highlights should work too. 7pm AEST=9am CET if my maths is right

Since we are talking about TV coverage in the US
Did anyone lose Universal Sports over the new year? Does that mean no Giro and Vuelta coverage in the US? plus a handful of other big races….
As I understand it the over-the-air channel is gone
(it never was available where I live anyway). Seems that lots of cable systems have dropped it as well, as of Jan.1. My cable system did.
The website is still active though I think, but we have to pay for livestreams there. I anted up for the Giro last year and probably will again.

at the moment, universal sports is only available on directv, as part of the sports pack (channel 625), at 12.99/month

Yep, sure did
Not happy about it :( But there should be streams up the wazoo for the GT’s, so I’ll survive.
For those residing in Canada
Rogers Cable will be airing a one-hour highlight show Mon-Fri from 7 to 8 PM on Sportsnet One. They show live coverage on the weekend starting at 7AM (Saturday for sure – nothing for Sunday yet as they haven’t loaded that schedule onto the website)
you sure 7AM saturday? not 7pm friday night for saturday's stage 5? otherwise, it won't be live but delayed.
