Ever wondered what it looks like to be in the lead group of a World Cup Cyclocross race? Guess what guys and gals, it's your lucky day! Christian Heule had a GoPro on his bike for the first 3 laps and would love to share the footage with you!

Good stuff
I guess on-bike cameras are allowed in ‘cross. Are they in UCI road races? I had the idea that they are not but I can’t find anything in the rulebook.

That issue came up last year, at the Tour of California
First it was said (rumoured) that UCI had banned on-bike cameras, but UCI said they had to approve the use of cameras. Can’t find that statement now, but apparently GoPro was cleared to put a camera on a bike on the last stage of the ToC.

So very cool!
They go waaaaay faster than me ;) Also, it’s really interesting to see when he brakes/shifts.

no, it's just that the camera adds ten mphs.

It's ridiculous how much faster they go than the elite races here!

Presumably he hasn't noticed that at the end it says 'Follow me on Titter'?!

Lars van der Haar and a bunch of pelota players ;)
There are one or two other cyclists too but I can’t recall which ones. The ones I know of course, like the British crossers…

If you want to see power data
Ryan Trebon put up his garmin data (he runs a quarq on his race bikes) here
Granted, that 485w average power doesn’t include zeros (his past data hasn’t averaged those in), but… wow. Just wow.

But lots of crashes
The ground was frozen, mostly, but the top part thawed which made it very slippery.

Yeah, you can tell in how guys were taking the turns
Lots of tripod action for turns you usually wouldn’t expect to see it in
