Makes sense to me
They, as well as the rest of the cycling world, are just waiting for VDS week, the week the VDS competition opens. What better time to announce the decision?
It sounds a little infantile to me.
It is hardly credible to expect either party to the case accuse them of corruption at this stage whilst they are deliberating the verdict. So the press release amounted to this:
“If the press and public keep gossiping about bias and corruption, we will just work slower, and you will just have to wait until we stop sulking to get a verdict.”
nah, I think the court was already delayed. This incident just gave them an opportunity to blame
others and get some more paperwork to support their position.
I envisioning a new headline, somewhere in 2015.
CAS appointed a new 5 people panel to investigated a rumor that 4 people panel witch investigated 3 people panel in 2011,, was illegally influenced by Contador,s or WADA’s People!
Are you guys lost? Me too!

The whole system would work better
if we just appointed Chris Anker Sorensen as sole arbiter of all doping cases,
no appeals, he’s allowed to ask his mum what she thinks if he’s not sure.
CAS is totally biased
A “spaniak” (spaniard) pissed on his leg in the TdF 2010, no way he would be fair.
CAS’s mother probably will make more sense then 75% of WADA’s and UCI"s regulations!
She will probably ask: " Son, if you had that much clen in your system, would you be able to win TDF? No?. Next case, please!"

This might need its own thread.
This one clearly documents Jan Ullrich’s struggles in keeping his weight under control as he tries to become a star of the cycling world. You can even see his rosy cheeks.

No, not the Schlecks. They prefer to only send cash.
Rather Becca is the only that believes one can influence courts by sending softer gifts.
Gosh, you'd think that CAS doesn't really want to release this decision...
I mean, isn’t this just a straight-forward ‘strict liability’ issue?
by ManBicycleThing on Jan 16, 2012 10:48 PM EST via mobile reply actions
yeah maybe, but
it’s a strict liability issue regarding a substance that can be found in common food. A stupid rule in my opinion and it’s not surprising that it eventually came to this. It was bound to happen as soon as a rider with deep pockets tested positive.
it sure seemed like it at first
i think the delays, whoever’s doing/fault they might be, have let so many other factors (zirbel, fuyu, the mexican? athletes, food safety, increased lab accuracy, athletes’ rights…) make their way into the conversation that things don’t seem so simple anymore. their needs to be a stricter shorter time table applied to all doping cases, in my opinion.
"Ants don’t worry, they operate like a fantastic team, they accept obstacles and deal with them in a positive manner, they don’t complain and remain positive. An ant doesn’t work on emotion, is proactive and always chooses the ant role."
The strategy seems to be:
“quick, let’s take as long as possible, in the hope that eventually some reason for doubt emerges!”
And how old are these people, five? “We heard that you’re spreading rumours that we’re going to take another week, so to punish you we’re taking another TWO weeks! HA! And it’s all your fault! That’ll teach you to have a free press!”
