How many teams changed?
I seem to remember Dave Z. doing a SRAM commercial with other garvelos. (Or maybe not.)
I know that VacansOleil changed bikes, and Katusha also.
No comment, so far from Sergey, how he likes his new Bianchi

i'm sure it's the best bike he's ever ridden.
"Ants don’t worry, they operate like a fantastic team, they accept obstacles and deal with them in a positive manner, they don’t complain and remain positive. An ant doesn’t work on emotion, is proactive and always chooses the ant role."
Yup
Say what you want about Sweden, but we know how to build bikes.

Eddy Merckx isn't in the World Tour this year either.
Now I wonder who has kept the same companies the longest. Euskatel with Orbea?
Euskatel + Orbea has got to be since 1994 or thereabouts...
I was going to say Rabobank, but they only switched to Giant in like ’09. I guess you could put RadioShack + Trek in the running if you consider they morphed from US Postal (around 1997 I think)…
But I think Euskatel + Orbea has it. Awesome!

For a few years, Euskaltel (or just Euskadi as they were known in the mid-90's) rode Zeus bikes
which was an old Spanish bike manufacturer that was bought by Orbea in the mid-80’s. So technically they have been riding under the Orbea company since ’94 but for a couple years, a different brand

Hmm...
I would think Movistar from the Reynolds/Banesto/CdE lineage on the Pinarello’s (as well as Campy for that matter). Indurain won his first TdF in ‘91. Off the top of my head, I can’t think of when/if they were NOT on Pinarello. Does it go back to Delgado? ’88?
From operabike.com
OPERA is a Pinarello brand that was born in 1998 from Fausto Pinarello’s idea to explore new materials and new construction technology during an historical period where Carbon and Titanium had begun to supplant Aluminum and Steel as the premium materials for the production of bicycle frames and components.
I thought Euskaltel had Moa clothing now, unless they changed back for 2012?
It's pronounced "Int-CHOW-stie"
Saddens me not to see the Colnago and De Rosas in there
but then I guess they’re very italian, so they stick with local lower-budget teams to get equal exposure.
To be honest I think it’s weird the effect pro cycling has. When I bought either of the road bikes I’ve purchased in the last few years, I didn’t go for the make because a certain team or rider rode it. But I think it was in the back of my mind that I wouldn’t choose a brand that didn’t have a pro contract tie-in, didn’t have a top-level model. Even though that’s more or less irrelevant to the level I’m buying at. Strange that.
Also strange, I love my Euskaltel bike more than my more modern and fancier new bike. Go figure.
