Ok, when I wrote "Good afternoon" in the post before yours,
I actually meant to type “I’ll take van der Haar”
but my finger slipped
You can never tell due to all the American language schools. I met some people in Germany who I was certain were American, but they were Frankfurt born-and-bred. Vos always sounds a bit American to me too.

They said something about him being an American Norwegian before the video
but I wasn’t really listening
I heard the same. Dual nationality, perhaps.

Hello again everyone..!
Strava...? We are going for the TOP 10 this year...! Are you going to be part of something great or not?
Hahaha
Herijgers to Stybar: “Do you have any hints you can give David?”
Stybar: “I don’t even have enough hints to help myself!”
Lots of options
the tire which is ideal for sand is not ideal for the grass and the road. The tire on the bike now is called Griffo, which is sort of the standard tyre.
Bosmans (Bel)
I feel good and the sand is good, so I feel alright. I’m riding smoothly through the sand. In the race we’ll see, it’ll be a bit weird with the incredible noise of the audience. I even considered riding with earplugs, I even talked about it with Sven Nys. But then I should’ve started doing that a few weeks ago.
Stupid question...
That is flemish?
Strava...? We are going for the TOP 10 this year...! Are you going to be part of something great or not?
One of the many dialects we have
honestly, if they talk dialect at the race tomorrow, I won’t understand a word.
Is wearing earplugs a skill requiring practice?
I wonder how long SVT has been practicing wearing that scarf indoors.
Takes getting used to it.

Whaaaat?! I had as much as you did!!!

Look a guy wearing an orange body condom...!
Strava...? We are going for the TOP 10 this year...! Are you going to be part of something great or not?
I was impressed that with an all-over orange bodycondom
he was also completely drunk.
Either he started very early, or he must be using beer suppositories.
The circuit

The big dune under 4 & 8 is called the Paul Herijgers dune. The third dune, which starts under number 9 is for now called the X-dune. It will be named after whoever become elite world champ tomorrow.
MAYER Yannick
is yawning at the start line, not a good sign.
It seems as though Cavendish rides faster on some climbs than the fastest climbers in front of the race. Danilo Hondo

Photogs not happy with the UCI, by the way
there are only four designated ‘photo spots’, the three dunes and the finish. All the photogs apparently got assigned one spot and are not allowed to walk the course, which means we’ll only see official press photos on the dunes or at the finish.
Personally, I'm waiting for the day that someone, somewhere, is happy with the UCI.
But I’m not holding my breath.
With the number of people there already today
Not sure it will be easy to walk the course anyway

We need a word for that. Vosian? Vosish? Vosesque?

Works for me. Vosesque is difficult to type, Voshish is difficult to say, Vosian sounds like anti-dandruff shampoo.

I think “Vossome” came first. “Awesome” was invented later and caught on because it sounded like “Vossome,” so people immediately knew what it meant.

Wietse Bosmans
catching up?
It seems as though Cavendish rides faster on some climbs than the fastest climbers in front of the race. Danilo Hondo
Van der Haar relaxing a bit.
Smart, you can’t ride the whole race alone on this course.

The belgium guy that is second is not even trying....?
Strava...? We are going for the TOP 10 this year...! Are you going to be part of something great or not?
Easy boy
The race is just beginning, and he’s away with the best guy of the season by far. It’d be like Andy Schleck being away solo with PhilGil, with 60k to go til the finish of Amstel.
This is the hardest looking dry course I've ever seen
That sand is incredibly debilitating over time
All I've had today is, like, six gummy bears and some scotch.
So, will we see the same scenario tomorrow:
some fast starters (Peeters/Vantornout) making an early gap. Then after 1-2 laps more guys come back to the front, a bit later some come close, but never make it.
Peeters will probably go for a blistering start
Trying to force Stybar to catch up and blow himself up like he’s done so often this season
It's just a difference in style...
Bosmans is a power rider, Lars is more energetic.

Some horrible dutch rap stuff
She’s Dutch, he’s Dutch Moroccan I think. Or just Moroccan. Doesn’t speak Dutch. They either play shitty Dutch rap, or shitty Belgian techno.
And once, Celine Dion.
I'm too nice
they have a three year old whose live, I suspect, is pretty shit already (when he cries, they yell at him to shut the fuck up). Don’t particularly want to make his live worse, so I always let them win sound wars.
I listen to quite a lot of splittercore. Want me to send them a CD – it’s been known to put people off all forms of music for life?

Albertina said we should “just look out for the loopy people.” I pointed out that this is an event attended by a lot of Dutch and Belgian people, therefore that wouldn’t narrow it down very much.
