Exciting development on the Canadian cycling front. New race sponsor Global relay had increased their involvement in the sport by bankrolling a junior cycling development fund for Canadian cyclist between the ages of 19 and 25. Headed by Will Routley, Andrew Pinfold, Ryan Anderson and Svein Tuft. 14 young riders will be supported in 2013. Support will vary from coaching, travel and equipment. Selection will be based on recommendation from provincial and national coaches and team owners and directors.
Nice to see that the SpiderTech/Hesjedal attention has trickled down.
