Stage 4 finished in Chieti last year
Scarponi won ahead of Cunego and Evans. Though this year they have to climb a mountain before they get there. Last TT is the same as last year.

In 2007 they had a stage finish on San Giacomo
1105 meters. Matteo Bono won that stage from a breakaway.
