nonsense
the feds took on barry bonds, the biggest star in the national game of baseball and won. there’s no way an averagely wealthy and fairly famous sportsman in a moderately popular sport succeeds where bonds didn’t. the argument is total pants.

Agree that Bonds is bigger in the U.S. than Armstrong...
Though the pre-doping Bonds was not a particularly popular guy, and the pre-doping Lance was.
Regardless, while the feds technically won the Bonds case, the punishments handed out were probably pretty disappointing to them.
Start fast, finish fast, and hope you're fast enough-- Cadel Evans
that maybe the case
but the implication is the feds dropped the case because of LA’s general influence and my point is that’s pants because it’s federal funds at stake, not doping. there is no way the feds would drop that or LA has any sphere of influence to effect that. it’s a conspiracy nonsense up there with the lunar landings!
