This is Belgium, so we have lots of SSR's around here. Today: le GP Pino Cérami. Most of this race is on Walloon soil, but don't be fooled. This isn't al hilly Ardennes-type race. The 195,4 km course goes through the Pays des Collines and het Pajottenland, so it won't be as flat as the Scheldeprijs, but it's not exactly a hard race either. There are three hard hills in the Pays des Collines, but that's 100 km from the finish, so a bunch sprint is likely possible.
On the startlist: some fast guys (Chicchi, Ciolek, Fenn, Petit, Bazaev, Feillu, Bozic, Juodvalkis, Van Genechten, Van Der Sande, Kneisky, Bagdonas,...), some punchers (Kwitatkowski, Keisse, Terpstra, Iglinsky, Marcato, Amorison, Serry, Clarke, Eeckhout,...) and some guys who are training for Roubaix, but didn't ride yesterday (Hoste, Scheirlinckx, Van Hecke) .
Expect OPQS to control this race. They have the strongest lineup by far: Bandiera, Brammeier, Chicchi, Ciolek, Fenn, Keisse, Kwiatkowski and Terpstra. Vacansoleil and Farnese Fluo are pretty strong too.
Régional de l'étape: Jerôme Baugnies.
Weather: cold, grey and a bit of wind.
And most important: the live-ticker
Enjoy!
