Il Giro della Rinascita all over again.
Over on Twitter, it's 1946. After a five year hiatus, the 'reborn' Giro d'Italia has resumed along the war-ravaged roads of Italy, and with it Fausto Coppi and Gino Bartali's legendary rivalry. Already, in the run-up to the race, we've had the referendum to decide if Italy should remain a monarchy or become a republic and polemica over whether the race should go to the disputed city of Trieste. Today, the first stage into Turin has been won by Wilier-Triestina rider Giordano Cottur. But who will be on the final podium in Milan on 7 July?
