That's the Gazzetta headline, in English, Lombardia's going up the Muro di Sormano. As this year's Worlds are looking likely to take away Lombardia's claim to be hilly bastard race of the autumn, the Giro di Lombardia organisers have struck back and included this legendary beast, the Wall of Sormano. 1.7km at an average of 17%, but reaching up to 25%, barely 2 metres wide and painted with the names and times of the fastest riders.
