Tech Mechs ? Rain gear for commuters

So for the last 8 years i've had an easy and enjoyable bike commute of between 10 and 15 minutes - about 5 kms with a little climbing. Basically nothing. And if it was raining, like this morning, it just doesn't even seem worth it to get dressed up and take the bike and get all wet for a 10 minute ride. But in about a month my job is moving about 30 km away. It'll be about an hour-long commute each way.

I'd like to continue to mostly use my bike to get to work for various reasons and that's going to mean dealing with the weather and riding at night and so on. Lighting is pretty simple, but i'm very unfamiliar with much in the way of rain gear and i'm sure we have some hardcore commuters here at pdc who ride in the rain and snow and all kinds of horrible things and can give some great advice.

So i think i'm pretty well covered when it comes to a jacket. I have a very light one that's more of a windbreak, another heavier one that's good in a real rain, and a seriously heavy one that i use all winter for my commutes even when it's not raining because it's also pretty warm - just right in fact, at least for these short rides - that one you have to wear, too much to go in any sort of pocket. And the jackets are all hi-viz.

My question is what about the rest? I have warm stuff for legs, head and feet, but nothing to keep dry. I just haven't spent much time riding in the rain, and when i have, i've just gotten wet. Not really what i want to do while trying to get to and from work every day. So what do you guys use?
