Armistice Day - a couple re-posts.

Cycling and Armistice Day

In Rememberance

Over the years there have been a couple of posts that mark the observance of the World Wars and the men who fought in them. Of special note are the articles that highlight the relationship of cycling and the military. I've always and enjoyed these articles as they give occasion to remember my grandfather who fought in the first World War. Next year the Tour de France will begin observing the 100th anniversary of the start of the "Great War", the "war to end all wars" so it seems like a good time to remember what it was all about.
