This week is the second round of the 2013/4 Track World Cup, in Aguascalientes in Mexico - and here's a thread to talk about it!
First things first - can we watch it live? Well, we can watch the Saturday evening session on the UCI's Youtube - the stream's here, and after it's happened, it will be the full archived video. Right now there's a clever count-down to show us what time it starts in our own time-zone:
There's a tv guide on the UCI website, but there's not much information on it - if you see any tv links, please, please share them in the comments! Apparently there will be tv coverage in Mexico, so hopefully we'll find streams, maybe.
I'll be following it via twitter with the competition account @trackworldcupmx, hopefully they’ll be tweeting news and results as it happens – and they have a facebook page too, that will be good to watch for photos and results. I'll also be watching the @BritishCycling, @CyclingAus and @CyclingAusTrack twitter accounts, and checking the British Cycling site, Cycling Australia website and their track facebook - here's are their previews, Cycling Aus' and British Cycling's.
There’s often live timing on Tissot Timing (usually a live timing button appears here). The competition website has a page for results, and as with all the World Cups, all the results and startlists will pop up on Tissot here (the links turn red when information has been added). The programme of events is here, and I'd love it if you have any more useful links to share - I'll post anything I find in the comments, and of course, there'll be conversations there too, so if you're a track newbie, or have loved it forever, please do join us!
