Jersey clashing with shorts

I know this is a very petty matter but in recent years I've noticed that its become quite common for leaders of the the various competitions to sometimes wear a full strip for the colour of their jersey. eg now at the Giro, both Pirazzi and Betancur have donned all blue and all white.

Here I'm not convinced Pirazzi should have blue shorts with his jersey it makes it look much less distinctive, and you can easily mistake it for a standard team jersey especially on the helicopter shots. I have no idea whether its the sponsors or the riders themselves who decide but In my opinion you shouldn't be allowed to have a full strip of your coloured jersey. Unless its in a time trial then its acceptable I suppose.

Whereas here Nibali only has the jersey and it loosk really good as it clashes with his Astana shorts. Much easier to spot and just looks more classic. Same goes for Gilbert in his World Champion's jersey. He should just keep the red BMC shorts instead of having full white. Anyway, thoughts and better examples?
