Le Tour de France (via Paulo JS Ferraz)
Well Chris' preview is all well and good, but the biggest question remains. How do we actually watch the Tour this year? Depending on our country, work hours, family obligations and access to regular TV, the answer will differ. I'm of course more interested into what are my options in the US (east coast) now that I have a job that I cannot skip every morning for a month (good old PhD !) and refuse to pay for cable. In past years, I've been mostly using the Versus/NBCsports/UniversalSports tracker for 50 something dollars, but at this point I see no indication that it is up and running. Before I start harassing them over email, I would love to see if you know more about this or what are my other options. Feel free to use this post to discuss your options in other countries and also how you plan to watch the Tour to fit your schedule. Again this is a new experience for me, but I will try my best to shut off all sources of information during the week and try to watch at least 1h of "live" videos in the evening. The Tour tracker was really neat for this since it essentially worked like a personal DVR without commercials. Any advice is appreciated !
