Tour de France Stage 6 LIVE

Arras - Reims 194 km

A shellshocked peloton from yesterday hobbles on into wine-country for a likely sprint. Some of the top sprinters, including Kittel, and their teams took a beating yesterday though so maybe that leaves an opening for the breakaway? Especially as the terrain after the 100 km mark has some challenges for the chasing peloton.

Bubbly Bastard of the Day: Peter Sagan

This whole "not winning"-shit is getting old for our young cocky hero. Time for a change.

Amy's Wine of the day: Drink Champagne!
That is my advice. In fact, buy two bottles so you have one for tomorrow as well. Because any reason for Champagne is a good one.

I'm going slightly more obscure with my wine: Roger Coulon Coteaux Champenois Blanc: This is a still white wine from Champagne. I blame Frankly Wines. It sounds silly to type, but this is a wine that looks and tastes like Champagne, but without the bubbles. It is weird and  fascinating. Very dry. The acid and vibrancy of Champagne, check. Some yeast notes, check. Do I want to keep refilling my glass? Also, check.
