Technical help please - mend or replace back wheel?

So a while ago I had a couple of broken spokes on my back wheel which I had fixed. Not ridden it much since. When I did it I got a rubbing noise every wheel revolution, but on after about 20 miles and only with my weight on he bike. If I got off and spun the wheel, no probs, start riding, it's back. So tricky to see exactly what's going on. Did this each time I ride, fine for the first 10 to 20 miles but then starts.

Had the wheel trued/tightened last weekend but it's back today. A quick check and 1 or 2 spokes are loose again.

so, do I take the plunge and get a new wheel, or is there a cheaper option.

btw, I am currently 16 st 7 which I don't think is helping my wheels! Do these things have weight limits?
