If the Cycling Gods are not angry with us (which they shouldn't be, not after all the scandals we put up with, or that "snafu" on Milan-San Remo day), then whatever breakaways happen on today's relatively flat stage will be heartily chased down by Lotto and Lampre. I want my Bennati-McEwen showdown, and I want it now! Smart money is on McEwen in July, but for Benna to throw down in the prologue shows he's in shape and taking this seriously. Good for him, vai Benna!
