Riders Submitting to UCI Pledge En Masse
Want to know whether your favorite Cyclist has signed the UCI's "Commitment to a New Cycling" pledge? Check the latest list! I'm not sure if this is in real time, like as a rider is signing his name slowly starts appearing on the list. But it's a long list of names, making Caisse d'Epargne, Rabo, Quick Step, Unibet and half of Astana look like they're missing the party. Of course, in Unibet's case, what's the hurry?
Who knows, maybe the Pledge will make people behave differently. Right now though, it's an exercise in peer pressure. Not signing, when everyone else is, is unthinkable.

So, how do they sign?

I heard
As for making people behave differently: Perhaps. I think there is a general push for dope free riders and that may persuade some folks. BUT if someone is determined to dope this will just drive them further underground.
Riders are signing but a lot of riders and rider unions etc. are not at all happy about it. Ultimately this is not the way to rid the sport of drugs or at least push them to the outer margins.
I wonder what has happened with Bruyneel's comment the other day about waiting until it is modified? Did it in fact get modified and how?
