Virtual Directeur Sportif: '08: Resources!

I've been announcing and re-announcing the 2008 Podium Cafe VDS Comp but it occurred to me [h/t Samboo] that I have not done a good job of rounding up all the information in these reminders. So here you go:

  • A post about the spreadsheet has the spreadsheet. But you might prefer to just click straight to the official spreadsheet. And yes, that's the spreadsheet of rider point values. It's probably the easiest (for you) and most convenient (for me) method of putting together a team for 150 points or under and sending it my way. To vdsentry2008@yahoo.com.

No more excuses. Have at it!

You are a true gentlemen. Now where's the link on how to squeeze my 188-pt team down to 150?

SCARTCH THAT!!! Dangit!!!
Just saw that TD is out for a while with back trouble. Back to the board...

Crap!!!!
Humpty Dumpty fallen again? Will Tommy D ever be healthy???? Decisions, decisions: remove Tommy D & sub in Chris Horner, or stck w/ the Bubble Boy?

No matter, I'm going to win anyway (in my own mind).

..said the man who picked Lövkvist
as I said to Chris: I have to because of national pride. Whats your excuse?

Who'd you sub in?
Don't worry, my team is already submitted and I'm not going for the overall anyhow.

Tommy we hardly knew ye
So tempting to score with TD but that's just it- with his troubles he probably would score just seven points.

(I had him in my team 15 times probably before stepping away from the crack pipe.)

i was tempted
but stayed away. It looked like he might actually ride the Tour, but I wonder if he'll be able to recover by then.

Unfortunately, I think the "bubble boy" moniker will stick, and we'll always be wondering "what could have been".

magnus backsted
Anyone know how he's doing?
If he racing Het Volk and kbk this weekend I'll keep him, if not I'll have to go for a young french guy.

Ay Caramba!
30 new teams today. In a week or thereabouts, the VDS will be purring like a kiitten. But not sooner.

Are they listed somewhere?
Is there a page we can check for standings?

Patience my man!
It will all be readily available before you know it.
