Paris-Roubaix... LIVE!

Here's what you need to know:

  • Log into Cycling.TV RIGHT NOW! Don't wait til the start time, when 99% of their other subscribers hit the same server. That gerbil can only run so fast.
  • Race start time: 4:40am Pacific. This is a brutal thing, but there's little choice. The Forest of Arenberg is pretty early on.
  • No Versus coverage today. They're showing it next week. No explanation could possibly be satisfactory.
  • This thread will be open until we get near 400, or sooner if it looks like we'll hit 400 in the middle of a big sector. Then we'll move to thread #2, and maybe #3. Somewhere between most and all of you know the drill. I'll be up. Probably at the crack of 4.40. What else would I be doing at that hour?

Going to have to take some nyquil to get sleepy, but its times like these that I'm glad I've got my "medicine cabinet of courage".

Taping P-R to watch after work today
Only positive thing about the complete lack of interest in cycling in Sweden: it's easy to avoid inadvertently getting tipped off about the result.

Some last minute news. Bad luck for the norwegians: KAA has hurt his wrist in training and will start but is unsure of how he will feel, Thor has caught a cold and will also start at less than 100%.

Freire is an impressive rider
he can win in hilly races, classic length races, flat races, short races, cobbled races and even races he doesn't even start. And to be fair to CN no other rider has finished in front of him yet.

soak in some solo camera time, and then the fireworks start.

Good to see Servais in the thick of things. If he bridges, HR will be looking GOOD

What's with
the rebuffering?

Assuming this is universal, from the comments. My own issues had to do with the ability of the laptop to load. Maybe explorer is suckier than Firefox. Maybe it's all just a server lottery...

by Chris... on Apr 13, 2008 9:08 AM EDT reply actions   0 recs

click "settings"
and then "retest."  It should give you  a good load.  if not, try a different server from the list and retest again.
