Amstel Gold Race... LIVE!!

Ardennes Week starts now! I'm pretty partial to the cobbles and all, but one thing you don't get in Flanders to the extent you get in the Ardennes are fantastic finishes. AGR isn't likely to be won on a long escape... maybe a sorta long escape, but more likely there'll still be plenty of drama left when they hit the Cauberg.

The official list of climbs is worth keeping track of if you can have a third window open. Cycling.TV kicks off at 5am Pacific, so sign in at 4:45. See you then!

I'm not actually EGoat, I am consoled by the fact that I don't have to get up till 8am to watch AGR.  Much more civilized.

See y'all in the morning!

And
if anyone here is still pining for the hardships of Paris-Roubaix, then watch out for coverage of today's other big race in France the Tro-Bro Leon in Brittany. More info at the official site, a truly horrendous place to visit where everything comes as jpg images four times the size of your screen. Finding the magnify button on your browser helps. The regional version of France 3 is a sponsor so there will be footage around.

Can I note this morning that skunks suck! Both my girls got nailed at 12:30 last night. Luckily not straight on so my tried and true recipe saved them quickly and the inside of my house but the odor outside still just reaks.

depends
w/ tubulars, not as likely--if you hit a rock or pothole, the impact might crack the rim, but otherwise the dampening of the flat tire would probably soften the blows enough to keep it from being trashed.

Yeah...
I just closed IE completely, cleared all cookies and temp files again, re-opened, logged into CTV and still got the 92kbps feed.  Retested my connection, came through as 1109kbps, selected the 800kbps feed and still only get 92, using POP1 mms/rtsp
